CHANELLE McCoy is on the brink of making history with Europe’s first authorised cannabis-based food product – but slammed the Government, HSE, Nphet and more for leaving Irish businesses in a mess.

The Dragon’s Den investor has spent more than five years and €1.5million creating Pureis CBD which she says will improve everything from how we sleep to coping with anxiety and joint pain.

She told the Irish Sun: “The holy grail is for a CBD company to get the novel food licence, we’re all chasing it. This is not like launching a bottle of wine in the wine category. It’s like launching a whole new category called wine.”
